The Grand Canal in Venice at sunset

It comes down to one question:
do you hold the seller's papers?

No — then it is €550. We work from state records. The seller never learns about the check.

Yes — then it is €950. We compare two pictures: what the seller showed and what the record actually says.

You ask the seller for the papers yourself. We do not contact them at either tier.

Next step

First we look for free and tell you which tier is yours. You will not have to guess.

Five answers that decide it

All five come from the public records, without a single paper from the seller.

  1. 1What is actually being sold. The whole company, or only its things. A company brings its debts with it. Including the ones the seller does not know about.
  2. 2Whether you are allowed to own it. In some places the right to trade is attached to a person with a diploma, not to the premises: a pharmacy to the pharmacist, a clinic to the doctor. A deal like that breaks before your first euro of revenue.
  3. 3What transfers to you by law. Someone else's debts come to you with the business: taxes, employee payments owed to the state, unpaid wages. How long the staff have worked carries over too. A contract with the seller does not cancel any of it. We name the certificate that protects you and the date by which it must be requested.
  4. 4Whether you keep the premises. What the law of the country says about transferring a lease and raising the rent. And what the lease on this address actually says.
  5. 5How many months you cannot trade at full strength. While the paperwork changes hands, part of the business stands still. Those months belong in the price.

The other twelve sections give completeness and defend the report in an argument. You will decide on these five.

What we need from you for €550

A link to the listing is not required. We measured it: out of six listings, not one led to the register records. Something else does.

Before you order: two free tools

You run both of them yourself. We take no part in them.

The browser extension

  • You open a listing — a panel appears beside it.
  • It shows where that listing stands against the market we measured.
  • No account needed. We collect nothing and send nothing anywhere.
  • Everything is worked out in your browser and stays there.

The listing self-check

  • You answer questions about what you see in the listing.
  • You get your own list of checks and questions for the seller.
  • Your answers reach us only if you press send yourself.
  • You do this, not us. We take no part in it.

After you order: an order desk for your case

No accounts, no passwords.

A private link instead of a password
There are no accounts. You get a link to your own case page. Anyone holding that link can open it — so treat it as a confidential document.
A case number
Your order has a number. It shows what we received and what we are working through.
Where your papers are kept
The papers you send are kept in Europe, under European data protection rules. They are erased no later than 90 days after the report.
Payment handled away from us
You pay by card, as in any online shop. The card number goes to the payment provider; we never see it and never store it.
